Translation is overall good and does get easier to understand though few odd choices every now and then but the heart sutra translation...is very weird quite different from the translation I'm used to though granted the meaning is the same which I think is a good way to sum up the translation quality, there's not many wrong translations just odd choices, the weird consistently inconstant use of Chinese remains prevalent. As for the novel itself, it's quite irritating - There are a large amount of really good arcs, characters and relationships but  Literally every problem that arises could be avoided or solved if Ming Feizhen stopped fucking around and knowing that makes a lot of the instances very irritating even though it is a comedic story, it still prickles  and while the novel doesn't have the romance tag on this site it's in a weird phase where I would say it probably should be some what of a romance novel but at the same time not considering it's being used as a motivating factor, teased often yet its very brief and little results of it at times. The changing perspective is sometimes a bit difficult to notice at times but there is always something to indicate it at some point which is saving it.

Isn’t warlocks more about black magic and using people’s emotions? Most warlocks can’t do elemental magics like the genius warlock i know..

This is not a reincarnation and transmigration story, but it is similar to others. The female lead was lost and raised by a master where she learned medical skills, only to be replaced by a fake daughter. Anyway, it was translated, but there are still some misplaced words such as "he" and "she" pronouns. It focuses on familial ties, so regardless of the parents attempted to murder their child, it's considered okay, which I find unreasonable. The story's ending was abrupt and seems incomplete. The female lead should have two other senior brothers who did not show up, including the famous missing master. There are events that were left unanswered, such as the "wedding of the century" and what happened to the investment scheme. Honestly, I am disappointed. It seems like the story was at its peak, and then they rushed to finish it. Will there be a part 2?

It's not the best novel I read and it's not the worst one I read. All I can say is even though I didn't like some parts, it was a good read nonetheless. A lot better than BTTH tbh. Off to the next one then.. not sure which one to read, The great ruler or Dragon prince yuan.
