I think the author puts it the best when he says that it is a slow burn. The writing quality is good, not many glaring mistakes and the story seems to be coming along nicely. For a first work, the author seems good enough, surely he'll improve as the story goes along. This seems like a gradual buildup kind of deal. I feel like the story has done a good job dodging a the cliches and so far, it seems like the MC isn't going to get a sudden cheat that will let him uncripple himself. Overall, I'd say, I recommend a read, at least.

I've never felt anything for many people since I never went to school or been outside. Although I do have tan skin, like I look Hispanic. Anyway, everyone always hated me or thought I was weird and different.
