The mystery tag is not for show, nothing is truly explicitly explained and the reader is left to draw his/her own conclusions based on the clues given. It is the opposite of those cultivation novels where they dump a wall of info at the start. Suffice to say that the build-up is slow but steady, and the writing makes it worthwhile. Not to give too many spoilers but you have a main heroine who behaves entirely different after a suicide attempt, causing those who know her to be in awe and surprise. The heroine has limited resources, but has a sharp mind (and tongue) and to see her overturn expectations is worth reading.
