The only reason I got through 40 chapters of this is because I have low standards when it comes to beast taming stories, so I’ll read almost anything. I would say it’s an average story at best. It’s very predictable if you’ve read other system stories or beast taming stories. If anything, I felt like the number targets for the system were pretty unrealistic. The translation is bad. Aside from grammar and spelling errors here and there, the translation is just sloppy. Although, there do seem to be less mistakes in the latter half of the 40 chapters.

Score:7.5/10I wont lie, I used to love this book. But now I just feel sad by seeing the way it ended. Everything before the first flag war was almost perfect. The story had a very good beginning, with a nice hook. Even though the mc had an op ability, it was still balanced by the restrictions early on. The story was well written with the kingdom building aspect serving as a good slice of life setting. The small academy arc was intresting, as it served as a reminder to show the mc was not the strongest. It also allowed mc to make new allies and understand the structure and politics associated to high society. There were always mysteries left for future like the ruins. But then everything changed when the story when Micheal won the Flag tournament. The story just got overblown and the story accelerated too fast. All of a sudden mc became too strong, the kingdom building became less relevant, most of the side characters became too weak to be relavent to the plot. Even promised rivalries and villains got forgotten. Example: Quinn and the Zeus kid. At some point the story just became a civilization destroyer fantasy. There was almost no challenge in the story. Even the new hot topic ‘Nest’ became a second thought to the pantheon of God’s. We never even got proper finale of the relationship between Michael and their parents. Even ability extraction became boring.I don’t know why the Author was in such a hurry to end book. Cause the ending we got was just so anti climactic. Additionally, one of the weakest aspects of this book were creating side characters with deep personalities and Romance. There were very few memorable characters in this story, Danny was by far the most developed and followed by Caleb Zenovia. Maybe Fredrick was ok but in general not enough time was spent on them. As for the romance, it was so bad that it would have been better if there was none. It felt so lazy that I felt the author just didn’t event want to bother with it. At the end I just felt bitter abt the story.Again it’s a good book hands down but I really felt the author didn’t didn’t do ‘Justice’ to the story. It could have been so much more.

The Smiling Demon bit her lip and scuffed her toe against the flood like a scolded child, before looking back up at Sara with a terrifying look in her eyes. Like Sara was a buffet and she was a starving beggar, "I can't help it- you know that!"

Otis would cry himself to sleep when the roads were smoother and would jerk awake and start crying when the roads weren't. As Kyle drove in the dim light of the evening, Otis switched from sleeping to yelling at the top of his voice. Kyle couldn't do anything about it. They had to make it to Newfront before the end of the day, and he wasn't going to stop the car to address the toddler's crying.

Li Jun, to his embarrassment, felt warmth creeping up his neck from having the full attention of those probing light brown eyes. "Anyone else would have had they been there," he said as nonchalantly as he can, shrugging. "It's no big deal."
