Why do romance novels/manga/stories have to drag their two MCs' love progress on for so d*mn long, only to have them finally confess to each other near the end and only a few chapters of them being a true couple?

I've read this in Dream and loved it and switched to this App because I wanted to read the other storys related for example of Godfrey but i couldn't find it ...️
Great book, loved the characters. The twists and turns are nice and the book itself is easy to read.
Glad that Ashley, the author, took the effort for minimum or no errors during her writing at all.
Would love to read more books of this author!
Great book but the chapters are absolutely too pricey for the length of chapters and the content in them. Could buy five books already with the coin price for each chapter being so obscene. Sadly quite done with this app and it’s inability to keep chapters at a fair and consistent price.
