Guys I checked qidian but ratings in qidian changed for almost every novel, so I dunno if you should believe this rating.
Also ratings on my other reviews are before ratings changed, so don't blame me if you see high ratings in qidian and low ratings in my stats.
Even a novel with 7.6 rating got changed to 8.8 rating, I dunno what qidian is trying to do.

Thank you for another cooking book... Hoping for a mass release because I love reading this type of books...Hoping it would give a foodgasm...

I usually love novels about food but I'm really disappointed with this one. I don't like the MC and at the moment, the other side characters are also pretty weak in terms of likeability. The story doesn't flow well and is really confusing. Only 5 chapters are available right now, I might re-read this story once more have been published but the start is really weak.

Trash. The dishes arent even described. The author is trying to make tge Mc cool. But it clearly do the opposite. The story and world background is true trash. It didnt even describe the faces of characters and the settings that they are in. FINAL VERDICT: TRASH. NOT IN PAR WITH OTHER COOKING NOVELS.

Qidian and this MC totally just gave us the finger!  (￣へ￣)＝凸 No fs given! Not even a popular/hyped novel.  Most outrageous thing; Zero food p*rn involved!! Also, it can get a bit crass. If that's your cup of tea, *slow clap* yay for you.

this novel has been wrongly titled you know.....it should be called the maverick errands boy(coz that's the only thing i've seen him do in the entire novel)

For the people who call this novel trash just because of the title "Maverick Chef" is really a narrow-minded person. You can read in the synopsis that "Bai Lu grew up in a mysterious prison, where he learnt many interesting abilities." He grew up in a PRISON! with different kinds of people that he encountered living there is enough for him to have various skills and logically can include it in the story.

A person in real life can have a lot of experience and skills in various things and jobs especially if you're not a well-off person, so don't judge this book if the story is not a proper gourmet novel. This kind of story makes it more interesting because it's not just all about cooking, it also shows the background of MC.
