That’s literally the point of her character, her whole two lives she has been told too sit and take abuse, she trying to protect herself by acting like she’s not a threat. If you can’t critically think don’t read it and read the novels with one demential FLs with easy plot to understand.

Ong, this novel genuinely sucks.
Binged it one night out of sheer boredom and now I'm slightly attached and it's only like 2 chapters a month anyway so I read it just cause.

The book has the same plot as another famous book. The author keeps repeating that she wrote this a year ago but only started updating it recently, which only confirms my suspicions. Guilty conscience?
