Good story with nice character development, just a shame that Qidian has started with ad crap, i will have to drop this and 2 other novels i read on Qidian since i refuse to watch ads just to read novels, a shame really. If they want money they should get it through paypal/Patreon or through REAL bonus chapters and not the daily releases, what a joke.

Another 'Global Survival' type story. This one isn't great. The MC keeps going around and breaking things to obtain materials. Thing is... he doesn't have very many blueprints. Wow, congrats on obtaining 30 threads from decomposing a bed. Nicely done! But... where are you going to sleep?

This is your author, Yanglin of Mountain Reliance King.As I am writing a shameless review for myself, of course, I would have to mark myself full score to compensate for my fragile heart of effort put into the book so far. With forty-three chapters so far, I believe that my slow but steady effort should have created a proper background for this book to continue without feeling too rushed and rigid to the point it missing the slice of life that supposed to be included. The novel Lan Xian Di, aka Supreme Emperor of Mist, touched on the story of Qin Lan as he followed his own belief to walk the path of cultivation once more as he unlocks the memories about his first, second, and third reincarnations. It won't be a rushed story for sure, as I'm intended to make this more of a slice of life novel. As I am still inexperienced right now, the story might seem lacking in picturing many aspects of the story. But I'll put effort as it goes to make this novel better in each chapter.Another part to take note of is due to my OCD health issue, this author of yours will always have difficulty completing a chapter properly. Often, it's because my idea and writing don't match one another in the expected 1500 words and above. It is also my biggest trouble so far as once in a while, producing a chapter end up as a hurdle to me for days and weeks. But I'll try my best to continue. Webnovel did offer me a contract early when we're at around fifteen chapters, but I hesitated as I'm worried that I couldn't perform as required. Of course, signing one would be great because it means my book will be valued greatly.I'll end this review here as today is counted as one of the best days for me so far. Do expect a chapter update soon. Wish me better, and stay safe, everyone. I hope you'll continue to support me as I try my best to complete this work.Thank you.Mountain Reliance King, Yanglin

As of this review, 36 chapters have been published. Writing quality—quite good. Some grammatical mistakes here and there but nothing too distracting. A little clean up will do the trick. In terms of flow... wow. There wasn’t a moment where I wasn’t sucked into this story. The story switches between the first POV of the main protagonist, the self-proclaimed Demon Lord and Magic King Rupert, and the third POV of the people he had chosen to include in his grand plot. Both point-of-views were fun and entertaining, and I found that there was never a boring moment in either of these POVs. The story centres around an ex-magical-overlord-turned-filthy-rich-businessman named Rupert Hargreaves, who, after being reincarnated into a different world, finds life to be a tad too boring for his diabolic, mystical tastes. In order to satiate his boredom, he indulges himself into the world of fictional entertainment (and the internet)—especially anime. Soon after, he brings his hobbies into the real world and began an anime-esque experiment/production in real life involving real people with his equally twisted deadpanned secretary, Alice Kang. The overall premise of the story is similar to that of ‘To Be a Power in the Shadows!’ or ‘There Was No Secret Organization to Fight with the World’s Darkness so I Made One (In Exasperation)’. It is a story of a guy who is both bored enough and powerful enough to create a whole fantasy just because he could. In my honest opinion, this kind of plot is fun but hard to execute as the scale is quite large. On top of juggling between several protagonists in different settings, one would also need to make coherent ‘pulling-things-from-behind-the-scenes’ plans that doesn’t rely too much on Deus Ex Machina... or maybe just heap it on so that the humans will actually survive until the (obviously planned but shh) Last Boss battle... lol. In any case, it is advisable for the author to take caution in writing the story as it is easy to derail and make it tedious and boring to read. Last but not least, my favourite part about this story—which I didn’t realise until more than a few chapters in—was the fact that this story involved a lot of queer characters. Also, the Uyghur girl? I have no choice but to stan. All in all, this was a very enjoyable read and I look forward to more! Good work, author!

Well, The story's pretty average but I read too goodies so my remarks are that jumped right into LVL 49 from LVL 1 in a single chapter and didn't explain much about the world or the character and too many grammatical mistakes(even the novel name, not disregarding author's hard work but gotta say the truth)........I endured reading till 30 but no great story, world or character development....SORRY FOR GIVIN AN ASS REVIEW SORRY
