This book is an absolute beauty of a work, I started reading the book on Ficool books [till they shut the app down] then continued reading it on Webnovel. I love the story line, the settings [Moving from Medieval (Earth) to tech advanced (The Magnus Academy & every other place that's not Earth basically)], the main character Emery & all the assisting characters.A big thank you to Avans for Introducing us to the world of EGM kudos!! ??

So far so good. The story is about a newly promoted abbot of the dilapidated One Finger Temple after the old abbot has ascended to the heavens. The new abbot initially wanted to leave the temple and eat meat and have kids but was restricted by his newly acquired Buddha System and was forced to lead a life of asceticism.Although the MC would probably continue behaving like a street punk on the inside, he presents his outward self as a serene monk who wouldn't be surprised even if the earth shatters or the sky collapses. His two-faced dialogues are quite fun to read.Moreover, you'll feel a strange sense of serenity after reading the chapters, a world that is far away from the heart palipitating  battles of xianxia and xuanhuan as well as the heart-toasting corny world of the various romance novels. All in all, I would recommend you guys to go through the novel without skipping on the parts where Fangzheng explains on the many Buddhist verses.

I am level 6 cultivator,this novel is truly gold.. I spent money on this novel to respect the author because the story is really good.. u must read this novel.. thats my suggestion, a Level 6 cultivator from 4 years ago!!!

Decent start. Well written for the most part, but increasingly dull and repetitive for every arc. The plot is non existant, only Han Li's cultivation journey. Also every arc there's some beauties that take and interest in him that he totally ignores because "he's focused on the cultivation path
