BTS/romance:End of the world, Beginning of my Life - Reviews

Translation of this novel is terrible. Simple terms like “cultivator” is instead translated as “fairy”. Don’t even get me started on the cultivation techniques the MC finds. There are also other inconsistencies which makes you sometimes have to reread a sentence. Some sentences even look like machine translation. All of these small details result in a crappy reading experience. All in all it shows that 0 proof reading was done or that the translator might not be that experienced. While I would like to give kudos for what the translator has done to make the story understandable I’m more frustrated as this has happened on a lot of novels, so obviously it is either an easy mistake to make or it’s always the same translator. No change will be made as no translator reads these comments. Story seemed like a good time waster if you can deal with the translation.

Sometimes I can't tell if this novel wants to be more adult oriented, dark or pure action. This isn't a bad thing per say. after going through 169 chapters I have to say it's quite an enjoyable novel. The title, did throw me off a bit but I enjoy what it tries to do.Our MC The Reaper is pretty much above average. Yeah he seems overpowered at first until he gets smacked with reality that he's just a small fish in a bigger pond. That realization was okay. At some point I was even looking forward more to the adult scenes than the trials. Why? Besides it felt like the MC was actually becoming more human. As weird as it sounds the MC is basically more brawn than brain in his skill area. He isn't exactly smart at social situations which is quite infuriating in the beginning.  Heck I'm here still hoping he gets with Emma (the main heroine I'm guessing and his future babe) and stops acting like a emo child. But I get it he's stressed. Funny enough even without the adult scenes this novel would be pretty well even if it wasn't Included. Gotta admit it's a 8/10 for Enjoyment. Would recommend it to people who like those small adult scenes, talented MCs but aren't overpowered and assassins.
