A famous snack from Jiujiang made from taro that is peeled, steamed, mashed into paste, mixed with sesame oil, and shaped into small balls. Available in sweet fillings (sugar, sesame powder, dried orange peel, osmanthus flowers, lard or sesame oil) and savory fillings (cured meat, ham, garlic, shrimp). They melt in the mouth and are fragrant and soft.
