A makeshift wooden gate built by Lin Wanxing at the cave entrance. She planted two thick log posts on either side, lashed them to surrounding rocks with tough vines, wove thinner branches between the posts, and added a vine mechanism to open and close it. It kept wild animals out while allowing air circulation.
