A precious custom-made silver lock with Bei Qinghuan's nickname, made by her maternal grandfather's old craftsman. She had always worn it but lost it the previous year in her sent-down province when she threw it in a fit of pique and it was knocked away by Mei Suqin and picked up by someone else.
