The Tang Family wants Yan Peifeng's help to buy surplus silk from the Ministry of Revenue Grand Granary at a 30% discount during inventory clearance, then deliver it back at market price for doubled profit. This was described as an open secret within the Ministry of Revenue. The Tang Family offered Yan Peifeng two percent of the profit, ideally taking all of it.
