A major water management project on the Min River in Yi Province. The plan involves excavating a narrower and lower eastern channel alongside the original wide western course. During flood season, sixty to seventy percent of water flows through the original course while thirty to forty percent enters the eastern channel for irrigation. During dry season, the deeper eastern channel draws most of the water, ensuring adequate irrigation year-round.
