Bright yellow pickled radish strips wrapped carefully in a clean lotus leaf, brought by A-Fu in a food basket. They glistened with oil and released an appetizing, savory aroma. For the servants of the Governor's Mansion it was nothing remarkable, but in the Side Courtyard it was practically a feast.
