Qin Ya painted a portrait of Shi Jianchuan using oil paints. She considered it her most satisfying work and her favorite painting. Shi Jianchuan occupies three-quarters of the canvas, depicted in profile holding a coffee cup. Qin Ya signed it with her English name. She planned to frame it and hang it in her studio.
