A plant whose skins were boiled and laid out to dry in the sun. After sun exposure, the kudzu turned from yellow-brown to snow-white with a beautiful sheen. The processed kudzu bast was then kneaded with alkali and cooked in pottery to produce fine white thread suitable for spinning and weaving.
