Wen Dazhuang and several accomplices kidnapped Jiang Mingyue by striking her from behind at the alley entrance and forcing her into a van. They took her to an abandoned small house outside the county town. Wen Dazhuang forced a drug powder into her mouth and threatened to kill and bury her after assaulting her.
