Old Madam Xiao took Xu Shuyao to Qingning Temple on Mount Qixia to offer incense. The trip also served as a cover for the marriage meeting with Madam Zhou and Zhou Yan. Xu Shuyao stayed at the temple for several days afterward, enjoying the peaceful life, walking the cloisters at dawn and dusk.
