A purplish-red vine with intact roots, grown on a shaded, damp stone wall with moss preserving its activity. The joints are deep purplish-red and sticky when broken, indicating age and potency beyond ordinary stock. It is the perfect raw material for top-tier wound medicine and requires slow-roasting in a clay pot with three qian of licorice to counter dryness. Sold for ten taels of silver.
