A department established at the medical academy by Zhe Qing. It teaches surgery to complement pharmacology, including removing dead flesh, suturing torn bellies, and cutting out harmful growths inside the body. Dissections were performed using rabbits on the surface and prisoners guilty of heinous crimes in secret.
