A dedicated cutting board used only for preparing fish sashimi, stored away for years after the Marquis fell ill. It developed cracks underneath where poisonous centipedes nested. When washed and reused for the Old Master's final meals, the centipedes were attracted by the fresh fish's bloody scent and venomized the sashimi.
