A ritual marriage ceremony arranged to bring good fortune and drive away misfortune, especially illness. The Eleventh Prince fell into an unconscious state after variolation, so the Empress Consort arranged this ceremony. A young girl (Zhao Xiaojin/Jinzi) was selected to serve as a little bride for the ceremony. The girl was dressed in a red silk outfit for this purpose.
