Male minor character, an eighth-level fitter at a machinery factory who is considering taking Lu Xiao as an apprentice. He loves to drink and his wife and child died in an accident. He treated Lu Xiao like his own grandson, gave him meat to eat, and taught him how to repair radios and bicycles. He said he would give Lu Xiao everything he wanted as long as Lu Xiao provided for his retirement.
