A man from Jizhou City who passed the child scholar examination at age twenty-five and was promoted to xiucai the following year. He squandered his family's fortune over the courtesan Xiangsi, leaving his widowed mother to die alone. He became a retainer of Prince Rui. Much of his past was erased, suggesting deliberate concealment.
