Male minor character, also referred to as Zhong Zhihong, Zhong Qing's biological father. He sold Zhong Qing and her mother to the mountains for money. He escaped reform and smuggled himself into the city. He appeared at Zhong Qing's door claiming to be her father but had no documents as proof. He tried to sacrifice Lin Huijuan and Zhong Yuening to save himself.
