Six-year-old boy, the older of the two adopted children. Son of Zhou Chongshan's fallen comrade. His mother was called the 'crazy woman' after being humiliated by a village bully, and villagers called Zhou Xiaochuan the 'little crazy one.' He was constantly bullied as a child and developed a dark, feral fierceness. He resembles Zhou Chongshan in facial features and expression. In the original story, he was convicted of intentional homicide and sentenced to death. He is guarded and wary of strangers, especially Jiang Rou.
