A platoon leader (full battalion leader) in a unit neighboring Zong Shao's. He is Deng Xiangyun's husband and Xiao Shitou's father. His family has likely lived on the island for many years since military rules allow family members of officers at deputy battalion level or higher to transfer with the military. He has a good relationship with Zong Shao.
