A young Xiucai who passed the examination at sixteen but was ostracized after his father died. His parents asked Sun Sichen to help him. He was offered two taels of silver monthly including food and lodging to teach Ping'an when Sun Wen was busy. He was entrusted to Yuanqing for study.
