Xuezhu's friend and the only boy in their small group of children. He is described as the most pitiful child because he has to take piano lessons every week and will likely have to take Olympiad math when he turns twelve. He is always caught between He Zhengyue and Xuezhu, either being ordered around or used as a horse to ride. He was probably at summer tutoring during the events described.
