The husband of Niu Fang and son of Yang Dadi. He works at the steel mill and is the main breadwinner of the family. He tends to favor his three sons over his daughter Zheng Jianiu and is somewhat oblivious to his mother's harsh treatment of Niu Fang. He promises to make sure his sons have meat to eat.
