A false monk whose real name was Ge Shugen. He was a thug and scoundrel in his youth who obtained ordination papers and took the Dharma name Huiyuan. He traveled claiming to be a holy master, drugging and violating women under the pretense of helping them conceive. He later changed his name to Yulin and targeted wealthy households, declaring certain children as demon spawn to cause families to kill their offspring. He was eventually hired by Dou Shuzhen and brought to the capital as Master Zhaoxin. He was arrested by the Ministry of Justice for fraud, violation of women, and causing multiple deaths.
