Also called Huwa, a young boy from Henan who survived a natural disaster and famine with his mother Wang Cuiyun. He sold peanuts and flowers to survive. His father Zhao Baogen refused to help when their daughters were sold. He and his mother fled to Beiping and took shelter in an abandoned temple. Wang Li took him in along with his mother.
