Also known as Zhao Grain or Fat Zhao, a wealthy merchant who hoarded grain, hiked prices, and defrauded the people during a rice shortage. He was caught mixing sand and moldy rice into grains, burning tens of thousands of dan of grain rather than selling it, and secretly selling premium rice to rich customers while claiming scarcity to the public. He was sentenced to thirty strokes, public cangue for one month, and exile to Lingnan.
