An official who served under Pei Jinxu. He is described as handsome, with a face like a banished immortal, and appears aloof and otherworldly. He has never been able to hold his liquor well. He recently returned from Lingnan, where he investigated a corruption case on the Emperor's behalf. At the banquet in Taihe Hall, he was rewarded by Pei Jinxu and toasted by many officials. Disappointed by the absence of Ning Wanwan's fiery presence, he left to sober up outside, where he presumably encounters the frozen Ning Wanwan (the text cuts off).
