She is scheming and greedy, attempting to steal the old lady's money hidden in shoe soles, and even conspired with Zhang Weiping to do so. After losing her money, she pesters Lan Xingyu for food and resents being refused help. She is effeminate in manner and looks down on Lan Xingyu's delicacy.
