Also called Aunt Zhao, she is Zhao Hu's mother and An'an's grandmother. She is talkative and practical, worrying about soybean oil supplies and safety during the drought. She makes shaped steamed buns with Qin Ying for New Year celebrations. She is affectionate toward her daughter Qin Ying.
