Sun Yanni's husband, also called Da Niu. A Deputy Battalion Commander who is kind to his wife but a foolishly filial son. He sends most of his salary home to support his parents and brothers. In the original story, his mother brought Sun Yanni back to the countryside after a year of failed conception, leading to her suicide.
