Also referred to as Zhang Shi, she is Sheng Dehai's wife who has been having an affair with Chang Feng, the chief guard. She is the mother of Sheng Ningxue (Xue'er), though Xue'er is not Sheng Dehai's biological daughter. She suffered abuse since childhood from her mother who favored men over women.
