Yu Banta's husband and Yu Banxia's brother-in-law. He is a skilled builder/mason who works for five wen a day plus meals. He is a good man who is not blindly filial, stood up to his mother Lan Shi when she tormented his wife, and proposed dividing the family to protect his wife.
