Zhang Qing Niang was the wife of Xun Yunhe and the mother of Xu Yunqi. She is referred to as Madam Zhang in the text. After the incident at Xiushui Village, she attempted to find her husband at the county office, believing the rumors of his death or departure were false. Unfortunately, she encountered soldiers sealing off the mountain halfway, fell down the slope, and was accidentally saved by Xu Ke. She subsequently remarried Xu Ke and lived in Honghu County. She sacrificed her life along with Aunt Pang and Pang Niu, who gave their lives to protect her. Her grave became a focal point in the chapter, with Xun Yunhe standing before it in grief. Her story is one of tragedy, as she was separated from her husband and daughter and ultimately lost her life.
