Male, also called Professor Zhang or Old Zhang. He is a professor and Gu Jinshu's teacher in Chinese medicine. He lives in the military compound and helps retired officers with their health. He is strict with students but impressed by Gu Jinshu's self-discipline. He has some irritation toward Lu Shizhan for 'claiming' his good student.
