Also referred to as Zhang Li, she is Old Madam Su's sister-in-law and the matriarch of the Zhang household. She is antagonistic and unwelcoming toward the Su family, viewing them as paupers and leeches. She has drooping triangular eyes and leans on a cane. She orchestrated the transfer of Zhang Hongzhuang's house deed to her brother and spread rumors that he gambled away the family home. She is manipulative and cruel, ordering water to be splashed at the entrance to drive away the Su family's 'bad luck.'
