The brigade leader of Tanghe Brigade, also referred to later as Brigade Chief Wang Jiadong. He is the authority figure in the brigade who shouts commands during the hostage crisis, ordering the spy to release Zhang Qian. He is frustrated and unable to get close to the armed spy. After the spy is captured, he praises Wang Guifen, saying they owe her a huge debt, and instructs Wang Qiulan to take Zhang Qian home and find a doctor. He also addresses the Public Security officers and scolds the gossiping women for their nonsense. He is described as still shaken by the events.
