Yang Baoni's mother, the third daughter-in-law of Secretary Yang. She nearly cried herself blind when her daughter went missing, wailing on the doorstep. She later threatened her sister-in-law with the Revolutionary Committee for promoting feudal superstition. She was too worried about Baoni to care for her younger son.
