Her grandpa was killed by wind-borne stones on the first day of the hurricane, and her husband fell severely ill with vomiting and diarrhea. Her rice paddies were completely destroyed by the hurricane, losing the entire harvest. She worries about selling herself as a Dianhu or into servitude once relief grain stops. She is described as having been good to Niuwa.
