Also known as Xiao Lin, he is Yu Tan's boyfriend. He is a graduate student around Xia Jiao's age with a thin frame and a tendency to blush while speaking. He is shy and gentle, and occasionally helps with housework and cooking at Yu Tan's place. He was unaccustomed to handling fish but watched Wen Chongyue prepare the catfish with awe. He brought a dish of sauteed shepherd's purse with dried tofu to the meal.
