Male, son of Shen Yanrong and Lu Yao, also referred to as Haohao in some parts of the text. He is described as a little man who can share responsibilities with his parents. He takes care of his sister, does not distract his father, and tries not to worry his mother. When his mother is injured, he remembers the village doctor's operations and quickly takes out his handkerchief to help. He tries to control his emotions and offers to protect himself and his sister.
