Also known as Elder Yun and Yun Shanchang. A great Confucian scholar of the present era who once served in the Hanlin Academy. His daughter married the former Marquis of Zhenbei, and his grandson is Jiang Xuirui, the new Marquis of Zhenbei. He played a chess game with Song Nian Yun and admitted defeat by half a move. Despite his advanced age, he was deeply impressed by her talent and calm temperament, and took her as his personal closing disciple, bestowing upon her the endorsed courtesy name Nian Yun. He handed her a jade token engraved with the character Yun to allow free entry to the back mountain.
